Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Apex Edge Sales Engineering Limited collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data in connection with its websites, communications, publications, reports, and services.

Effective: 23 September 2026
Last reviewed: 23 September 2026

1. Who We Are

Apex Edge Sales Engineering Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

Company No.: 15821626

ICO Registration: ZB796431

Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom

privacy@apexedgesalesengineering.com

We do not have a statutory requirement to appoint a Data Protection Officer.

2. What This Policy Covers

This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data when you:

  • visit our websites,
  • contact us or receive B2B communications from us,
  • submit a request or form on our website,
  • use free tools such as ApexIQ WinScore™ Preview, or
  • engage with our publications, reports, and services in a business capacity.

This policy does not cover personal data processed inside the ApexIQ WinCommand application. ApexIQ WinCommand is a separate web application published at wincommand.apexedgesalesengineering.com, and its processing is described in the ApexIQ WinCommand Privacy Notice (privacy-policy (opens in a new tab)).

If you are an ApexIQ WinCommand subscriber, you are the controller of the personal data you place in the application and we act as your processor. The processor terms are in the ApexIQ WinCommand Data Processing Agreement (dpa (opens in a new tab)), and the suppliers engaged under it are listed at sub-processors (opens in a new tab).

This policy also does not cover personal data we receive through an ApexIQ Companion service. ApexIQ Companion is a separate website published at companion.apexedgesalesengineering.com, and its processing is described in the ApexIQ Companion Privacy Notice (privacy-notice (opens in a new tab)).

Our role there is different from our role in ApexIQ WinCommand, and the difference matters to a reader deciding which document applies. For ApexIQ Companion services we act as a controller, because we decide how the work is done and what we return is our own work. For ApexIQ WinCommand a subscriber is the controller and we act as their processor. How material sent to an ApexIQ Companion service is handled, who reads it, how it is protected, and when it is destroyed are set out in ApexIQ Companion Confidentiality and Materials (confidentiality (opens in a new tab)), and what must not be sent at all is set out in ApexIQ Companion Acceptable Use (acceptable-use (opens in a new tab)).

This policy also does not cover personal data handled in CloudVerdict. CloudVerdict is a separate subscription service published at cloudverdict.apexedgesalesengineering.com, and its processing is described in the CloudVerdict Privacy Notice (privacy-policy (opens in a new tab)).

Both roles arise there, and which one applies depends on the data rather than on the service. Apex Edge Sales Engineering Limited is the controller of the account data CloudVerdict holds about a subscriber, such as account and sign-in details, billing records, support correspondence, and the activity and audit records the service keeps, and the CloudVerdict Privacy Notice describes that processing. Where we process personal data a subscriber places into the service, the subscriber is the controller and we act as their processor under the CloudVerdict Data Processing Agreement (dpa (opens in a new tab)), and the suppliers engaged under it are listed at sub-processors (opens in a new tab).

3. Personal Data We Collect

We may collect:

Business contact and relationship data

Name, business email address, company, role, and communications with us.

Request and correspondence data

Information you provide in messages, calls, meeting notes, forms submitted via our website, or documents you share.

Client delivery and commercial data (where relevant)

Contract and service details, billing and invoice records, and delivery communications.

Website usage data (analytics and performance measurement)

Two Netlify services measure how the Site is used and how it performs. Neither sets cookies and neither stores information on your device.

Netlify Web Analytics collects aggregated and anonymous information about page visits and traffic patterns from server-side CDN logs. No script runs in your browser for this service.

Netlify Real User Monitoring collects page performance metrics through a script served from this domain and running in your browser: Largest Contentful Paint, Cumulative Layout Shift, Interaction to Next Paint, First Input Delay, First Contentful Paint, and Time to First Byte. It also records your browser family, your operating system, and whether you are using a mobile device. It sends this to Netlify at https://ingesteer.services-prod.nsvcs.net once per page view. As with any web request, that connection carries your IP address. Neither service is used to identify you.

Free tool usage data (ApexIQ WinScore Preview)

When you use the free ApexIQ WinScore Preview, the eight MEDDPICC scores you select are sent to our scoring service so the result can be calculated. No deal names, company names, or other details are sent, and nothing you enter is stored. Your IP address is held in memory for up to a minute as a rate-limiting key, so the tool cannot be abused. It is not logged, stored, or shared.

We do not intentionally collect special category data (for example, health data). Please do not send it to us.

4. Where We Get Your Data From

We obtain personal data from:

  • you (directly, when you contact us or engage with us),
  • your employer (where you interact with us in a business role),
  • referrals and introductions, and
  • public professional sources (for example, company websites), where appropriate.

5. How We Use Your Data And Our Lawful Bases

We process personal data only where we have a lawful basis under UK GDPR.

Responding to requests and relationship management

Purpose: respond to messages, schedule meetings, manage communications

Lawful basis: legitimate interests (running our business) and, where applicable, steps prior to entering a contract

Delivering services and account administration

Purpose: deliver services, manage contracts, support, invoicing, record-keeping

Lawful basis: performance of a contract, legitimate interests, and legal obligation (where required)

B2B marketing communications

Purpose: send relevant updates, insights, publications, and invitations to business contacts

Lawful basis: legitimate interests (B2B marketing), and consent where required by law or where you have asked to receive specific marketing

You can opt out at any time, and we will maintain a suppression record so we respect your objection. ICO guidance confirms that PECR consent rules for electronic mail marketing do not apply to corporate subscribers, but we comply with data protection law and honour all opt-outs.

Website analytics and performance measurement (Netlify Web Analytics and Netlify Real User Monitoring)

Purpose: understand website usage and measure how the Site performs for real visitors, so we can improve it

Lawful basis: legitimate interests

Netlify Web Analytics operates from server-side CDN logs and runs no script in your browser. Netlify Real User Monitoring runs a script in your browser and sends page performance metrics to Netlify, as described in the section above. Neither service sets cookies, and neither stores information on your device or reads information already stored there, so no cookie consent is required for either.

Legal, security, and compliance

Purpose: comply with law, protect the business, prevent fraud and abuse (including rate-limiting the free ApexIQ WinScore Preview by IP address), manage disputes, enforce rights

Lawful basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests

6. Cookies And Similar Technologies

We use cookies only where strictly necessary for the secure delivery and operation of the Site. We do not use analytics cookies or advertising cookies.

We run two measurement services that are similar technologies in the broader sense, Netlify Web Analytics and Netlify Real User Monitoring. Netlify Real User Monitoring runs a script in your browser and sends page performance metrics to Netlify. Neither service sets a cookie, and neither writes to or reads from your device. See our Cookie Policy for the full description.

7. Sharing Your Data

We share personal data only where necessary, including with:

  • service providers that help us run the website and deliver services (including Netlify, who host and serve this website and provide the analytics and performance measurement described above),
  • professional advisers (legal, financial) where required, and
  • regulators, courts, or law enforcement where we are legally required to do so.

We do not sell your personal data.

8. International Transfers

Some service providers may process personal data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this involves a restricted transfer, we use appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, as applicable.

9. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above:

  • Client and transaction records: 7 years (tax and legal compliance)
  • Business development and requests: up to 24 months after last meaningful contact
  • B2B marketing records and opt-out history: up to 3 years after last interaction (suppression records kept as needed to ensure we respect opt-outs)
  • Consent records (where applicable): up to 5 years for compliance evidence
  • Free tool usage: nothing you enter in ApexIQ WinScore Preview is stored; the IP address used for rate limiting is held in memory only and is discarded within about a minute
  • Analytics and performance measurement: Netlify Web Analytics and Netlify Real User Monitoring data retained in line with Netlify’s data retention terms; we may retain aggregated, non-identifying statistics longer

10. Your Rights

You have rights to:

  • access your personal data,
  • rectify inaccurate data,
  • erase data (in certain circumstances),
  • restrict processing,
  • object to processing (including direct marketing),
  • data portability (where applicable), and
  • withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent.

To exercise your rights: privacy@apexedgesalesengineering.com

We aim to respond within one month. For complex or numerous requests, we may extend this period by up to two further months. If we do so, we will inform you within the first month and explain why.

11. Automated Decision-Making

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling.

12. Children

Our website, publications, and free tools are intended for business users. They are not directed at children, we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and we do not use our services to profile or market to children.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact privacy@apexedgesalesengineering.com and we will delete it.

13. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or destruction. These include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), restricted access controls, and use of reputable hosting and infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

14. Data Breaches

In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to individuals’ rights and freedoms, we will notify the UK Information Commissioner’s Office within 72 hours of becoming aware, as required by UK GDPR. Where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to you, we will also notify you directly without undue delay.

15. Complaints

If you have concerns, contact us first at privacy@apexedgesalesengineering.com

You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab) or by calling 0303 123 1113.

16. Updates To This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will be published on our website, and the “Effective” date will reflect the current version. The “Last reviewed” date records when we last checked this policy, whether or not it changed.

17. Contact

Questions about this policy, or a request to exercise your data rights, should be sent to privacy@apexedgesalesengineering.com.
